As portable gaming continues to grow, so does the demand for extended playtime. Fuze is a compact external battery designed to integrate seamlessly with the PS5 controller, maintaining its aesthetic and ergonomics while providing continuous power. The design focuses on modern usability and refined form, allowing players to enjoy uninterrupted gaming without compromising comfort or style.

Fuze’s brand captures innovation and sleek design, reflecting its commitment to elevating gaming experiences. Built to resonate with gamers, its identity stands out in a competitive market, creating a strong connection with its audience and positioning Fuze as a leader in gaming accessories.
Research and Positioning
Positioned as a premium accessory, Fuze complements the PlayStation 5’s design language and quality standards. Market research revealed that most competing products were bulky and disrupted gameplay when charging. Fuze addresses these issues through a sleek, ergonomic form that enables comfortable, uninterrupted use.
Ideation
The design process began with collaborative brainstorming and sketch exploration, generating a wide range of concepts. Ideas were refined through successive iterations, focusing on achieving an optimal balance between functionality, ergonomics, and visual appeal.
Prototyping
In the final development phase, 3D CAD modeling was used to integrate precise design elements that align with the PS5 controller’s geometry. Physical prototypes were produced through 3D printing for hands-on testing and evaluation, allowing continuous refinement of fit, comfort, and overall usability.
